2006-07-29 Galerie Nordenhake in Berlin organizes a solo exhibition of Swedish artist Olle Baertling (1911-1981). Olle Baertling was born in Halmstad, Sweden. He spent most of his life in Stockholm, where he also in died in 1981. Olle Baertling was an abstract painter, whose golden age fell on the fifties, when he invented his "Open Form" conception. The above-mentioned exhibition also concentrates mainly on the works of this period. The creator of Galerie Nordenhake - Claes Nordenhake - opened his first gallery in 1973 in Stockholm, but in the beginning of XXI century decided to found one more gallery – this time in Berlin. The name Nordenhake became a trademark and both its subsidiaries specialize in contemporary art from Sweden, Germany, and the United States. The exhibition closes on 29 July 2006.
