International Berlin Beer Festival is your chance to enjoy the variety of beer and observe the city attractions. The event has been taking place since 1997 and attracts thousands of visitors every year – for instance, last year about 750,000 people visited it. This year the festival takes place August 3th – 5th, and presents 1,750 different brands of beer produced by more than 240 breweries from 80 countries. Walk along the 2.2 km “Beer mile” and taste as much as you can! The mile will be located at Berlin Friedrichshain, stretching from Frankfurter Tor along the Karl-Marx-Allee and to the Strausberger Platz. To diversify the event there will be live musical shows performed on 18 stages. It is also an opportunity to keep in date with what’s happening in the beer world, as each year new brands of this drink are presented. For those who want to get something as a souvenir there will be Official Pro(Beer) Mugs sold.
