4th Ladyfest takes place in Berlin from Friday August 4 to Sunday August 13, 2006. Those who want to have a rest from male domination in music and culture gather in Berlin. Ladyfest Berlin is a platform of several days' duration to present feminist and queer art, literature and music, bound in a worldwide network. The Berlin ladies organize a festival where artists and musicians can present themselves and get the respect they deserved. This however, doesn’t mean that entrance is open only to the women. Men are welcome. During the festivals several concerts and parties take place, such as the Kick-off party on Saturday August 5 on “Insel”, the openstage on Wednesday August 9 and the closing party on August 12 in Festsaal Kreuzberg.
