2007-09-16 September 16th at noon Berlin’s Olympic Stadium will open
its gates to host one of the most exciting events in the city’s sports life -
DKB-ISTAF Berlin, which is a part of the Golden League athletic meetings. Golden
League was founded in 1998 by the International Association of Athletics
Federations (IAAF) and takes place in several European cities, including Berlin.
The meeting brings together many renowned athletes who compete in ten different
disciplines, including high jump, javelin throw, triple jump, hurdles and pole
vault. In addition to common prizes, athletes also compete to win the Golden
League Jackpot – the 1 million US dollars prize in gold. Those who win in all
the six meetings get 1 million jackpot. If there are no such, 500.000 $ prize is
given to athletes who win in 5 meetings in their discipline. Ticket rates are
EUR 8,50 and higher.
