Popkomm, Berlin, is a great music event, both an entertainment venue and a meeting place for those interested in music business. First organised in the city in 2004, this year the event takes place September 19 – 21. Popkomm consists of several activities. The first is an exhibition at Berlin Messe, with around 800 exhibitors from 55 different countries, including Australia, USA and South America. The second, Popkomm Conference, invites representatives of music industry to join their colleagues and discuss the latest issues. And probably the most exciting of all is the Festival & DJ Night, which involves several venues around the city, the main of which is the Kulturbrauerei in Prenzlauer Berg. A total of 450 acts from 35 countries are expected at Popkomm this year. Plus to this, every year Popkomm chooses one country to present itself at the event. To fulfill this task, there are numerous stands and overviews provided. Last year Brazil was the Partner country.
