October 3^rd is an important day for the whole Germany, celebrated all around the country. This is the German Unity Day - Tag der deutschen Einheit, celebrated to mark the unification of the East and the West Germany. Lots of meetings and actions are organised, even though there are no specific ceremonies. In comparison with the USA Independence Day or the Bastille Day in France, German festivities are rather unassuming. Still, there is something to see, especially in Berlin. Numerous culture acts are organised at various city spots. First, there are several pop and rock live acts held in front of the Reichstag. Celebrations continue the next day as well, this time with various live performances in front of the Brandenburg Gate.
