Berlin welcomes visitors with an exceptionally beautiful event – Festival of Lights, which is organised 16 – 28 October. During the festival the city’s most prominent landmarks such as Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Cathedral or the TV tower (a total of 40 objects) will be impressively illuminated. This is an excellent chance to observe the city in its best! In addition to this, visitors can watch excellent shows, projections and fireworks. The highlight of the festival is its Grand Opening Ceremony at the Alexanderplatz, which will feature a laser show, Light Marathon and public fireworks. Festival organizers also invite you to participate in Midnight weddings – get married at the highest points of Berlin! If you are eager to see as much as you can, use the official festival shuttle “LightLiner”, which provides tours around the city during the event.
