2006-07-09 World Football Championship is coming up to an end and Sunday, 9th July is the day when Germany will say goodbye to this sport holiday. This championship brought a lot of surprises – Czech team left competition on group stage, England and Argentina named among favorites couldn’t have passed the quarter-final barrier. Even Brazil, which seemed invincible, has left Germany already. It had nothing to oppose to French inspiring play in quarter-final. Who knows, how many other surprises we could expect? We don’t know yet who will participate in the final, but there is no doubt, that Berlin Olympic Stadium will be overcrowded. This stadium experienced a reconstruction and modernization in 2000. It cost 242 millions euro, but now Olympic Stadium could be named the best arena of it kind in Germany. The new stadium incorporates VIP and Sky executive boxes, Business Seats, a Hertha BSC megastore, underground warm-up facility (including a 110m running track and long-jump pit) and an underground car park.
