Nostalgic mood is rather widespread in Germany and a lot of TV shows were devoted to German Democratic Republic during several past years. There have been many exhibitions about the Berlin wall, the border between East and West Germany and about the government's strict surveillance (the agency known as Stasi), but DDR Museum Berlin for culture in the German Democratic Republic single one concentrating on everyday life in the GDR in all its aspects. The DDR Museum Berlin is aiming to understand what life in GDR looked like and to show it to the new generation.
