2006-07-15 Berlin has made its liberal views and tolerance one of the key features and attractions. Annual Love Parade held in German capital is an event attracting a lot of visitors and participants from all over the world. This year Love Parade is returning after a two-year hiatus. Lack of funding had meant that the event had not gone ahead for the past two years, but the income of new sponsor’s help means that the 2.5 million euro party can go ahead once more. The parade will start up on July 15th. By that time football fever promises to come to an end. The parade is free to attend and this year it is even free to register a truck to take part in the parade itself. First held in 1989 and the brainchild of German DJ, Dr Motte, the occasion originally attracted just 150 revellers, but has manage to gain a reputation of one of the biggest events in the world. This massive street procession will take its beginning on Strasse des 17 Juni Boulevard. The event spreads over the city, filling Berlin streets with music and joy. Fifty-one different floats will create a cacophony of beats for the people who dance alongside.
