To present America to the German Hans Purwin KG organizes 46th German-American Volksfest 2006 from July 28th to August 20th. The event will take place on the corner of Clayallee and Argentinische Allee in Berlin-Dahlem. This year the key theme of the event is New Mexico – a land of colorful indian pow-wows, of cowboy and western tradition and Mexican fiestas. New Mexico strikes with its with breathtaking landscapes and with a enchanted mix of Indian, Anglo-American and Mexican cultures. For all the three weeks of the festival, the 8000 m² of the 35000 m² of Truman Plaza (the former PX area) is changed into a New Mexican Village Main Street with impressions of Santa Fe and the Wild West. In the New Mexican Village you can see artists from New Mexico and other parts of the USA perform within more then 300 hours of stage program.
